Custom Domains

By default, inboxes use @lumbox.co. You can add your own domain for branded agent emails like bot@yourdomain.com.

Add Domain

Add the ownership TXT, MX, SPF, DMARC, and DKIM records returned by the API. For outbound email, keep the existing CNAME lumbox._domainkey.yourdomain.com CNAME dkim.lumbox.co. Lumbox configures SES with BYODKIM, so customers do not add SES-generated CNAMEs. Sending remains unavailable until SES confirms identity verification and DKIM signing. Easy DKIM setups show three SES CNAME records instead.

Verify Domain

After adding DNS records, verify them:

POST /v1/domains/:id/verify

The result separates DNS checks from ses_verified. A domain can be ready to receive mail while outbound sending remains pending with SES.
